Israeli Apartheid Week Preparations
Students for Justice in Palestine is getting ready for Israeli Apartheid Week, which is being held for the first time in Australia between March 5 and March 9. There have been many meetings, lots of coffee, and a whole lot of brainstorming and organising. We're going to log what we're doing here on our site so you can keep up with what's going on.
Coming soon: Israeli Apartheid Week (at the University of Technology Sydney and Macquarie University) |
Below are photos of preparations for military checkpoint simulations.
Ever wondered what it's like for Palestinians who live under Israeli military occupation and apartheid? Ever wondered what it's like to go through checkpoints? To have your freedom of movement restricted - simply because you were born Palestinian? SJP will be operating checkpoint simulations during Israeli Apartheid Week, so others can take a glimpse of Palestine's reality.
